Project Highlights
A joint-venture between NOIDA and Greater Noida, the
expressway was built by Ircon International Ltd. at an
estimated cost of Rs. 202.42 crore. Work on the
23.742-km expressway was started on 1 June 1999 and is
now functional

alongside Gautam Buddha Expressway:
Arogya Dham (Medical City) - comprising super-speciality
hospitals spread over more than 50 acres. With
world-class facilities and matching commercial complex,
attendants' homes and plenty of open space due to wide
roads, parks, green belt...
IT and Education City -to be set up on 350 acres and
comprising IT/software-related enabling services.
Incentives proposed for NRls and MNC giants to move in
include low allotment rates with long-term deferred-
payment facilities, financial incentives, reduced lease
rent etc.
Encouraging large Indian Corporations - like Hero Honda
and NIIT, who have already expressed keen interest -to
establish institutions par excellence in such fields as
education, training and R&O etc.

Commercial green:
Five-star hotels, Convention centres, Resorts, Motels,
Drive-in cinema, Open-air theatres, Entertainment park,
Film city, MNC corporate office.

clubs, Shooting range, Parks/playgrounds, Auto sports,

Project highlights
Noida City Centre
Renowned architect Hafeez Contractor has been engaged
to conceptualise the futuristic Noida City Centre
between sectors 25A and 32. The multinational D.P. Group
of Singapore has also been engaged as consultants to
NOIDA for urban planning development.
Botanic Garden
The Botanic Garden of Indian Republic (BGIR) is being
set up on 200 acres of prime land in Sector 38A by the
Botanical Survey of India under the Ministry of
Environment and Forests, Government of India. Its vast
canvas will include such components as woodlands,
arboreta, water bodies, display sections, experimental
plots, and nurseries as well as civil structures like an
administration-cum-herbarium-library complex,
interpretation centre, reception counters,
conservatories, parking complex and gazebos. The BGIR is
mandated to conserve the endangered plants of the
country and showcase its threatened plant diversity. It
will also serve as a centre of excellence for
conservation research and environmental education. By
developing special innovative features, it is expected
to become a major attraction for eco-tourism even as it
develops into one of the most uniquely landscaped
botanic gardens of modern times
The Symbiosis Society University Campus
Spread over a 40,000-sq.mt. campus in Sector 62, a
university with residential facilities for educational
training, research and development and allied activities
will set up by the Symbiosis Society of Pune. Along with
international quality management and law, a distance
education facility is also planned. This is an extension
of the Symbiosis family of 29 academic institutions in
eight campuses in and around Pune started in 1971.
Granted the status of deemed university by
the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government
of India, it was selected by the University Grants
Commission to promote Indian higher education abroad.
Symbiosis has collaborations with Bremen University of
Germany, Oakland University of the U.S.A. and the
American College of the U.A.E.
Metro Rail link
By 2009, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is
expected to complete a vital link between Noida and
Delhi during Phase II of its construction programme.
Commencing from September 2005 from New Ashok Nagar,
Delhi, the 7- km corridor to Noida will go via Sector 18
and Lt. Vijayant Thapar Marg, MP Road No. 3 crossing,
and turning at Golf Club Road to end at the Noida City
Centre coming up in Sector 32. It will have stations at
Naya Baans, Sector 15, HCL (Sector 3), Sector 18 Market,
Noida Botanical Garden, Noida Golf Course and Noida City
Centre. A cost of approximately Rs 105 crore per
kilometre will be incurred of which 83% will be borne by
NOIDA in addition to 4% land cost and 13% DMRC rolling
stock
Railway Link
The Northern Railway line from Boraki on the
Delhi-Howrah route will go via Noida and Greater Noida
to Tuglaqabad on the Delhi-Mathura route
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)
To reduce pollution in the area, Noida is setting up
CNG-based outlets for vehicles. In collaboration with
Indraprastha Gas Ltd., gas will also be provided to
industrial, residential and commercial units in Noida.
Distribution of CNG is also covered under the essential
services being provided by NOIDA
